How to Make Herbal Cleansing Milk and Lotions?: Home-Made Cleansers Give Good Results

Cleansers are used to remove the hidden dirt or make-up remnants from the face. One should use a good cleanser to have a clean, glowing face. Here are some unique cleansers that can be made using ingredients from the kitchen.

Pure Butter Cleanser

Butter cleanser can be used for all skin types, except oily. This tasty cleanser leaves the skin soft, supple and hydrated. Take one tablespoon of heavy cream and mix it with one drop of carrot seed or rose water. Blend well and apply the cream over the face and neck. After fifteen minutes, wash off and pat dry.

Pineapple Cleanser

Pineapple cleanser is meant for reducing age spots and fine lines. This cleanser is very simple to make. Take a slice of ripe pineapple and rub it on the face. Allow it to dry. Rinse off and pat dry. Pine apple juice can also be used as a cleanser.

Tomato Cleanser

Take a ripe tomato, cream-rich milk and water. Strain and discard the pulp from the tomato. Mix the tomato juice and milk in 1:1 proportion. Apply on the face twice daily. Beware that this cleanser may prove allergic to certain skin types. So, before using this cleanser, test it on the under arms for allergic symptoms.

Cabbage, Coconut Cleanser

This cleanser can be used for normal skin. Mix ¼ cup of cabbage juice, ¼ cup of coconut milk and ½ teaspoon of almond oil. Massage on the face with a light upward and outward stroke. Wash off with warm water and then with cold water.

Oatmeal Cleanser

Mix ½ cup of oatmeal or corn meal with plain yogurt. Apply the paste over the face and neck. Rinse off with warm water. Oatmeal is known for its absorptive and hypoallergenic property that softens the skin. It is also a clinically proven fact that oats greatly help in healing dry, itchy skin.

Grape Juice Cleanser

Grape juice proves to be a good cleanser for all skin types. Rub the grape pulp over the face. Keep for a while and wash off with cold water. It is a very good idea to drink grape juice to maintain a shiny skin.

Sunflower Oil Cleanser

Those who have normal and dry skin can use this cleanser. Mix ½ cup of plain yogurt, one table spoon of sunflower oil and 1½ teaspoons of lemon juice. Keep this cleanser in the refrigerator and use one teaspoon morning and night.

Honey Cleanser

This cleanser is a very good home-based cleansing agent. Mix ¼ cup honey, 1 teaspoon bee pollen, ¼ cup rose water and 2 teaspoons of liquid soap. Blend well to make ½ cup and use daily. Honey is a good cleanser as well as moisturizer.

Instead of wasting money on artificial cleansers, one can try home made cleansers for a great-looking skin. While using cleansers, always use a moist cotton ball to prevent the cotton wool from absorbing moisture from the skin. Keep glowing!
